Soccer Academy New Jersey

A soccer academy focuses on each player's development, with structured training built on a curriculum. A club team's job is to win team games. An academy's job is to improve each player's technique, decision making and game intelligence. MDS Academy adds to club soccer and never replaces it: players stay with their own club.

Club practice time mostly goes on team shape, tactics and preparing for the next game. An academy adds time on the individual skills that decide how far a player goes: first touch, ball mastery, decision making and game understanding. Players then take those skills back to their club team.

No. MDS is club-neutral: our programs are designed to complement club soccer, not conflict with it, and players from every club, travel team and rec league are welcome. We also work directly with clubs. MDS has 8 partner clubs, including Dragons Soccer Club, New Milford Knights and Monmouth United Soccer Club.

MDS Academy serves players from U5 through high school. Mini Dragons (U5–U6) and Dragons Pre-Travel Academy (U7–U8) are for the youngest players in Bergen County, Skill School is open to all ages, and winter futsal runs in age groups from U8 to high school.

In Bergen County, futsal runs at Hovnanian School in New Milford and St Nicks Greek Church in Wyckoff, Skill School at Williams Field in New Milford, and Total Training has run at the Superdome in Waldwick. In Monmouth County, futsal runs at Hoop Group in Neptune.

MDS Futsal Winter 26/27 is open for registration now in both counties, and it's the easiest way to try MDS. Skill School's fall session is sold out, and our other programs are coming soon. Each program page has a notify list, so you'll hear when dates are announced.
