Academy soccer. Without leaving your club.

MDS Premier is the top level of the MDS pathway: academy-standard coaching and competition that runs in addition to your player's town travel team, so they never have to leave their club or their friends to play at a higher level.

Why it exists

Talent shouldn't mean leaving.

Every year, clubs lose players at exactly the age they're getting good.

Players who want more usually have to quit their town team for an academy

Families pay far higher academy fees, or juggle two clubs at once (dual carding)

They stop playing with their school friends, and the club loses its best players

MDS Premier brings academy soccer to the players, so they reach the next level and stay with their club.

How it works

MDS Premier, explained.

Eight things every family and club should know.

In addition to travel

Players keep their town travel team and their school friends. MDS Premier is extra, never instead.

Clubs join forces

The strongest players from several partner clubs come together as MDS Premier teams, and each keeps playing for their own town.

Selected, not bought

Players are chosen through MDS ID clinics, tryouts and recommendations from their club coaches. MDS leads placement.

Built to a standard

Teams are formed only when player quality and commitment meet the standard, so not every age group has a team every year.

Coached by professionals

MDS coaches from Premier League academies, English professional football and MLS, with a dedicated MDS technical lead for each partner club.

High-level competition

Premier teams compete in high-level regional leagues and advanced regional and national platforms.

Fair pricing

Significantly below regional academy prices. The club's own fields keep costs down, and scholarship support is available discreetly.

Year-round

Winter futsal (selected players represent MDS at tournaments) and MDS Summer Select keep development going all year.

The MDS pyramid

One pathway. Every level.

Rec and travel are where players grow at their club. MDS Premier sits on top and runs alongside their travel team, never instead of it. Wherever your player is today, MDS helps them climb.

Rec

Where every player starts.

Town recreational soccer, open to every child with no tryouts. It's about fun, friends and the fundamentals: first touches, confidence on the ball and a love of the game that lasts.

How MDS helps

  • Coaching sessions for rec programs, at the club's own fields
  • Coach education for volunteer parent coaches
  • Skill School and futsal for extra touches

Every level builds the same four MDS pillars.

Questions

Good questions.

Does my child have to leave their travel team?

No. MDS Premier runs in addition to their town travel team, not instead of it. They keep their club, their teammates and their school friends, and get an academy setup with MDS on top.

How are players selected?

Through MDS ID clinics, tryouts and recommendations from their club coaches. MDS leads placement, and there's no open registration.

Is there a Premier team for every age group?

Not always. Teams are formed only when player quality and commitment meet the standard, so some age groups won't have a Premier team every year. Travel soccer remains a strong, valued pathway.

How much does it cost?

Significantly less than regional academies. Training on the club's own fields keeps costs down, and scholarship support is available discreetly.

When does it start?

The next MDS Premier season is coming soon. Leave your email on this page and we'll tell you when selection opens.

Can our club be part of MDS Premier?

Yes. Partner clubs join together: their strongest players train and compete as MDS Premier while staying on their own town travel teams. MDS runs the training and technical direction, and each club keeps its own teams, board and players. Start the conversation on the Club Training page.
