Where does MDS Academy train in New Jersey?

In Bergen County, winter futsal runs at Hovnanian School in New Milford (Saturdays) and St Nicks Greek Church in Wyckoff (Sundays), Skill School runs at Williams Field in New Milford, and Total Training has run at the Superdome in Waldwick. In Monmouth County, winter futsal runs on Tuesday nights at Hoop Group in Neptune. Each program page lists its current venue.

Which MDS programs are open right now?

MDS Futsal Winter 26/27 is open for registration in both Bergen County and Monmouth County. Skill School's fall session is sold out. Our other programs, including Total Training, camps, the ID Clinic and Mini Dragons, are coming soon. Each program page has a notify list, so you'll hear as soon as dates are announced.

Does my child have to leave their club to train with MDS?

No. MDS is club-neutral: players stay with their own club, and our programs are designed to complement club soccer, not conflict with it. Players from every club, travel team and rec league are welcome.

MDS Academy runs club-neutral youth soccer training in New Jersey, in Bergen County and Monmouth County, all year. Your player stays with their own club, and we add the individual work that team practice rarely has time for. Our coaches hold FA, U.S. Soccer and CONMEBOL licenses. Every program, from winter futsal to skills clinics and camps, is built on the same four pillars: first touch, ball mastery, decision making and game understanding.

First touch

A clean first touch buys time on the ball. Every MDS program trains players to receive and control the ball under pressure, from any angle.

Ball mastery

Close control, dribbling and the confidence to take a player on 1v1. The more comfortable your player is on the ball, the more options they have in every moment of the game.

Decision making

Skill only pays off when it's used at the right moment. MDS sessions recreate real game situations, so players learn to read, decide and act, again and again.

Game understanding

Knowing how to move without the ball, make space and help the team in and out of possession. This is what separates good players from great ones.

MDS Futsal Winter 26/27

Small-sided indoor soccer on a hard court with a weighted ball, so players get more touches per minute than in any other format. Saturdays in New Milford and Sundays in Wyckoff (Bergen), Tuesday nights in Neptune (Monmouth). Kit included.

Skill School

A 6-week technical clinic on the skills to beat, manipulate and outplay opponents, and when to use them. The fall session is full. Join the notify list for the next one.

Total Training

Club-neutral supplemental sessions in 6-week blocks: 1 hour of technical work plus 30 minutes of speed, agility and quickness. Has run at the Superdome in Waldwick.

Residential Camp

First steps

Mini Dragons (U5–U6) and Dragons Pre-Travel Academy (U7–U8) introduce Bergen County's youngest players to structured soccer. Next dates coming soon.

Technical development

Winter futsal, Skill School and supplemental blocks (Total Training in Bergen, Total Footskills in Monmouth) build first touch and ball mastery alongside club soccer.

Evaluation

The ID Clinic (coming soon) puts players in front of MDS professional coaches, and MDS Futsal in Monmouth County selects tournament teams for winter competition.

The next level

MDS Premier is our top tier. Players are selected through MDS ID clinics, tryouts and club coach recommendations, and play on top of their town travel team. Next season coming soon. Summer Select, the International Tour and College 360 give ambitious players more to aim for.

Frequently Asked Questions

MDS programs serve players from U5 through high school. Mini Dragons (U5–U6) and Dragons Pre-Travel Academy (U7–U8) are for the youngest players in Bergen County, Skill School is open to all ages, and winter futsal runs in age groups from U8 to high school in Bergen County and from U9 to U13+ in Monmouth County.
